The first booth was a work of love...
When my friend asked me if I would jump on the chance for a festival booth some three weeks before the actual date, I said yes before I knew what had happened.
And while the next twenty-odd days quickly became a tornado of tasks involved in setting up from scratch... real scratch... I did it. Or, more accurately, I did it with the help of an entire village of family, friends, coworkers, people from the gym, internet buddies, totally random and kind strangers, and it was a BLAST and a perfect learning experience! (More on what I learned in another post!)
I made friends. I met tons of awesome folks. I learned so much. I sold pieces. I got a nice tan. What else could I possibly desire? And none of it could have been possible without my team, my GIANT team of people who did a little or a lot to help get me there so soon after the news, so big thanks to everyone involved.
AND NOW, GREAT NEWS - I will also be in the Wine and Harvest Festival in Cedarburg, WI on September 15-16, 2018 for Round 2. Come see me there!
And then this happened...
I conquered my fear and finally bought some (for me) pretty large canvases and now cannot wait to get my hands all painty for next time. This... will be an adventure and may require some bigger display walls, but we will cross that bridge when we get there. :)
